A balmy evening, pebbly
beach, summer sea, and a silent moon watched as it
sailed across the horizon.
Memories. We store them in our minds - eye to revisit
and share.

His Pomfret Lover

this
was
Inspired
by
John
Betjemans’
poem
‘The
Liquorice
Fields
at
Pontefract‘.
Creating
this
portrait
of
the lover he wrote of meeting was irrisistable.
He
speaks
of her ‘sulky lips’, and her ‘blazing
eyes’ and of being her ‘captive slave‘, but most
tellingly she was his ‘red - haired robber
chief’ who captured him with ‘flaming ropes
of hair’….a titian - haired siren indeed!

Winter
Messenger
a

The Robin -
a darting messenger of Winter cheer.

Autumn
Seed

The
Dandelion seed, ethereal and tenacious, rooted
in the Autumn soil, waiting.
Icons -
evoking memories, invoking hope.

Forgiven

Skin is a façade that holds our
lives within, for without it we would
surely die. It is a shape - shifting
form that knows no beginning, no end.
Relentlessly renewing with no rest and
no thanks. Why then, whilst we tattoo,
pierce, burn, choke, stretch, incise and
scar ourselves in the eternal quest for
beauty does it forgive us?

Horizons

Spring Fling

Spring. A time of renewal, regrowth and
regeneration.
Whirling water, spiralling fish and a
swirling sun give vitality, hope, and
expectation of life.
